Partners & Press

The people and places behind our trips, and where Gay Up Travel has been featured.

Every trip we design rests on relationships. I have stayed in these hotels, walked these cities with their tourism boards, and sat at these tables myself. Nothing on this page is paid for, in either direction: a partner is here because we have worked together on a real itinerary or a real piece of writing, and because I would send a client there tomorrow.

This page is also how a partner knows where a collaboration with us ends up. When we feature a property or a destination, it appears in a GUT Special, on a tour page, or in the Journal, with a link to the partner’s own site. The list below is the record of that work so far.

Destination partners

Tourism boards and destination programs we have built itineraries with.

England’s Great West Way

Gay Up Travel is an Official Tour Operator of England’s Great West Way, the touring route between London and Bristol. Our program England, Taken Slowly is listed in their travel-trade directory for the US market.

England Originals

A partnership with England Originals, the program of England’s Historic Cities. Our 10-day Queer England: The Historic Cities follows the trail of Wilde in Oxford, Turing in Cambridge and Anne Lister in York.

Dresden Elbland

In May 2026 Dresden Marketing, the city’s tourism board, hosted us for three days. The result is our GUT Special on Dresden and a practical guide to the city for gay travelers, the first of a continuing series.

Hotels and places we work with

Anchor properties and experiences that appear by name in our itineraries, because they have earned it.

Allelòn Hospitality, Valletta

Our Official Partner in Malta: four boutique houses in Valletta, La Falconeria, The Gomerino, Palais Le Brun and San Karlu. Allelòn hosted our stay in June 2026; the GUT Special on Malta is where you will find them described room by room.

Palazzo Castri 1874, Florence

A 19th-century palazzo near Santa Maria Novella that welcomes two men at check-in exactly as it should. Palazzo Castri is our base in Florence and a partner in our Tuscany work.

Poggio ai Laghi, Tuscany

A family wine estate in southern Tuscany where our clients dine in the vineyard. Poggio ai Laghi appears in our Italy recommendations as a curated experience, not a catalogue entry.

Working with Gay Up Travel

If you run a hotel, an experience, a destination or a publication and our travelers are the people you want to welcome, here is how a collaboration usually works. We visit, or we have already. We write about you in a Special, a tour page or the Journal, in our own words and with a link to your site, and we share it with our North American audience on Instagram, Facebook and in our Sunday newsletter.

In return we ask for the mirror image: a piece or a mention on your own site, in your words, linking to ours. No fees, no advertising, no scripts. Our readers trust this page because nothing on it was bought, and we intend to keep it that way.

Write to info@gayuptravel.com and tell me about your place. I answer every message myself.
